Like others we bought this little unit to check that our bags are not over weight limits whilst flying. I've been hit one too many times with fees and for the price this seemed like a good option.So far it hasn't let me down. Its had a decent work out before a bunch of trips and it is accurate, easy to pack and easy enough to use. Its not easy lifting 60 pounds with a hand scale, but that is going to be the case no matter what you use really isn't it? Its small enough to keep packed with you and has a little strap that you can use to attach it to bags. I have a partner in crime to read the reading when I'm lifting and it works well.Seems pretty sturdy, doesn't feel like it is going anywhere anytime soon.We bought this hand held scale to verify that we were not transporting bags over the weight limit of some airlines. To do so would mean to incur hefty fees. It is firmly built and transports easily. It can require considerable strength to hold up the scales with a 50 pound bag dangling on the hook. The scale can handle it easily but the person(s) using it may be a different problem. However, using a scale is important since flying with some airlines can be a pricy proposition if you exceed bag weight limits.There is no way I can do this alone. I had a 50 lb bag - how can I possibly see the gauge while weighing? It only has ONE plastic needle indicator that returns to zero when the bag is removed. Most manual scales have 2 needles- one measures and the second one moves with it. The second one then stays at the measured weight until you reset it manually.I only bought this because it was the only manual scale that could be delivered in time for my trip.DONT BUY IT.I was looking for a non-electronic scale (e-waste, you know), and have been very pleased with this one. It's very easy to carry so that you can weigh luggage while packing or at the airport itself.We give this a 5 rating. We used it during our South American Tour. We had to fly to 6 different airports in different areas of the country. We had to pass customs in each area and weigh the luggage at each airport. The scale was very accurate. We were right at the noted 50 lb level for each suit case each time. We weighed the suit cases before getting to each airport and shuffled the clothing/gifts as needed to meet airport limitations. We were very pleased. Great purchase and will continue to use it for some time to come. It will always be in our travel carryon case. Purchase as a holiday gift for travel...luggage can get heavy and this scale will provide the data on weight. Enjoy!If you want to measure your luggage in kg, do not buy this product. Kg scale is not correct, and can't be trusted. Lb scale is OK. Just to be sure I had to purchase additional scale in Target and this scale indeed shows the right weight (in lb, not in kg). But it is a hassle to get the right weight, you need to have another person next to you to read the weight. Therefore I would recommend digital scale instead of this one.Arrived very quickly. Sturdy construction & compact enough to put in a small corner of your suitcase. Forgot to mentioning that I bought it at a great price (remember the $ of airport penalties) can't afford to not have one.This is nowhere near accurate. I weighed a KG bag of sugar that came in at 250g. The mid-point lines between the 500g marks on the face only contain 4 so it's not even 100g markers - it's like 125g markers which is bizarre.Now there seems to be a 30 day return window which I used this after I can't even return the sodding piece of rubbish.Not impressed with the product or Amazon (I thought in the EU there was a 12 month standard warranty on virtually all products against fault?)Me sirve bastante para saber cual es el peso de mi equipaje y no pagar cuotas extra. Es lo bastante compacta como para meterla dentro del equipaje. Hay comentarios que dicen que necesitas dos personas para leer la bascula XD, pues no sé que hacen esas personas jajajaja. No es complicado levantar la báscula con la maleta y leerla.Da un valor bastante aproximado del peso del equipajeCon un aspecto retro la balanza para maletas Kikkerland cumple su función, el plástico no luce de gran calidad pero da resultados bastante aproximados, lo recomiendo pues también es súper sencillo de usar así como no requerir de baterías al ser un instrumento de medición análogo/mecánico.Not very good is you are looking for precision.......we use it to weight fire extinguishers as .5kg more or less is Ok for our need. I would not use it for luggage if you want to be close to what airport are using. And you will need two persons for heavy luggage...as lifting the bag and looking at the gauge will be very difficult!!Llegó a tiempo, el empaque muy bien. El producto sin problema alguno.
