If you've ever spent too much time waiting for your bags at the luggage carousel, especially after a cruise, only to realize that your bag has passed by you a couple of times, then you know that it's not politically incorrect of me to say that all luggage of color looks alike. It's true, it's a fact. Hey, I'm not anti-Samsonitic in the least. All I know is that when I adorned my luggage with pomchies and a variety of strap-ons (let me rephrase that) a variety of travel belts, we were able to secure our bags and were headed to U.S. Customs - and the attendant thrill of explaining where those cigars came from - in record time.As a side note: Always get a Porter to help you -- they know all the great short cuts in navigating you through the teaming masses. OH, THE HUMANITY.....Not sure how good it is, missed my luggage on my first trip looking for my new neon belt. It wasn't on my suitcase and it went by two times at least while I was looking for the neon band and not my suitcase..... shouldn't have come off that easily should it ?Not sure what star rating to put as I wasn't able to use it...but I'll put a 4 just because someone may have stole it ? or luggage inspection may have left it off ? ?Great for keeping the golf carrier closed when the snaps pop open. They could be a touch smaller in length to keep the golf club carrier more tightly closed. Custom inspectors seem to have an issue with them!I utilized this travel belt on a recent trip to China. I was careful to put the attachment portion of the belt in an area where it would not be damaged in baggage handling. The belt held up to two of the three legs of my flight. On the third leg, from Japan to China, the tab broke, keeping it from being able to be secured to the bag. It had to be thrown away. For the price, I would have expected it to be more durable.My mom used to tie a bit of colored yarn to her bags. This is so much better! Belts stayed on through two international flights, remained intact throughout, and made it so easy to spot our bags. Very helpful. Almost didn't purchase due to some product reviews, but so glad we did. (If these had lasted only through this trip, it would have been well worth it. But they suffered no damage and are good to go again.)It sucks to get a suitcase that has been beaten open by the horrendous way airline baggage folk treat it. I use these things to make my nondescript suitcase noticeable and keep my close inside. This works. Simple and ingenious.This is luggage belt makes it easy to spot your luggage among a sea of black look alike suitcases. An added benefit is that it washes beautifully so it always looks new and neon!It's bright green, it's a luggage belt.What more can I say?Will be used for extra measure of strength (to ease strain on the zipper) on my hard clamshell luggage.Hey! On the last big trip my regular luggage (name-brand, balistic fabric over stiff frame) was dropped, smashed, corner ripped off. Figured I'd try a hard-shell - but concerned about the zipper's ability to take full force of being dropped and smashed.
