After several months using them the wooden tips are holding up just fine, even with hot foods like ramen! These are fun little chopsticks to keep around. Surprisingly heavy, they are actually very sturdy. Both fit together tightly and never came loose during use. They aren't as long as many people might be used to but I found them perfectly adequate. The wooden ends are a nice touch, but do add a bit to clean up since you don't want to leave wood soaking with the dishes. But the wood ends make picking up food a little easier as well.Even the plastic case they come in is tough. If there could be such a thing as 'survival chopsticks' this set would be a top contender. If you like the novelty or convenience of break-down chopsticks, these are a good value. The Kikkerland "Collapsible Travel Chopsticks" are surprisingly well made and convenient for such an inexpensive set. I also have two sets of These are not as advertised at all.The wooden end is about a inch longer, the joints where they connect are vastly different and feels cheap. and the storage case doesn’t come with a clip.Do not buy.I’m returning these at once. I’m super disappointed. I was hoping to replace a pair I lost and instead got a knockoff. Seller should be disappointed in this.I could never get the hang of regular chopsticks . I went to a friends dinner using the EZ chopsticks and every wanted to know where they could get a set , 4 out of six people at the dinner had no idea they made such chopsticks. The one thing you should never use these for is a dish with a tomato base sauce because of staining , I use them for noodles or a semi dry or dry dish only . if they get stained I use a little bleach to clean them then rinse well and dip in olive oil to help preserve them. Oh I have used the same EZ chopsticks for over a year with no problems.I like that the wooden tips make it easier to pick up noodles and rice.I bought these chopsticks as a gift for a friend who likes to collect them. She liked them because of their collapsability and solid design. They seemed to be well made for their price, but I could see them getting dented easily. I personally would not buy them for myself, but if you are looking for some cheap travel chopsticks, they might get the job done.Pros:Cheap - Low priceLight - Good for travel, backpacking, etc.Cons:Cheap - Low quality materials, but decent for the price.Different Size - Side by side, the chopsticks were different sizes. one was approximatelly 2 mm shorter than the other. This doesnt make a huge difference, but it was still noticable.I love Asian food and eat in a restaurant at least weekly when taking my 88 year old mom shopping. I love the food and am proud of myself for learning to use chopsticks. I wanted to be more environmentally responsible and had admired a friend's folding chopsticks for some time. These chopsticks were moderate in price. They work well and easily. The case is convenient and easily carried in purse or pocket. I particularly like the squared shape which makes the chopsticks much easier for me to use. The wooden tips grab and hold food better. The also don't transfer heat like all metal chopsticks do. I got one of the highly rated more expensive brands of travel chopsticks as a gift at the same time. I must say, I like these much better and the price was less.Being totally useless at the art of eating with regular chopsticks, these were a good find for me. They are fun and get the job done. So, if you are chopstick intolerant I recommend these. One thing that should be mentioned is that the price is not for one chopstick set, but for four, and being made of wood will have to be hand washed, but that's not an issue for me.I bought these to replace the kikkerland ones that I had lost and have been unable to find locally. They are completely different and obviously far lower quality than the kikkerland ones.Very disappointed with this product for the amount of money I spent. One of the sets came apart and every time I squeeze them they break again. I would have them to be better qualityDiese stäbchen sehen gut aus (besser sls erwartet) und auch ganz lustig. Jedoch muss man sich beim essen darauf einstellen das es zu beginn etwas rutschen wird. Aber man hat den dreh schnell raus und kann dann ohne probleme essen.Diese dinger sind waschbar und können somit immer wieder verwendet werden (Y)
