We were traveling independently in Italy and I was concerned about where my husband carried his wallet and the very possibility of pick pockets. He loved the vest and it worked out great. He carried his wallet and passport in one of the inside pockets. He carried his phone and a battery charger in another. There's a large back pocket, that goes all the way across the back of the vest. He actually carried his lightweight rain coat in that pocket. He left it there all the time, so he was always prepared for bad weather.The vest is a nice soft cotton, comfortable to wear and fit him perfectly. He is 190 pounds, 5'9" and I ordered a large. He does not like thing form fitting, so this might be considered to big for some men who like more form fitting. Fit him well in the shoulders and around the gut, that has grown a little large in his old age. But overall he's about average for a 67 year old man.I was worried about how it would wash and last, since it's 100% cotton. But, I figured it it kept his valuables safe and he used it only for one trip, it was worth the investment. It held up for 3 weeks and really even after wearing it every single day, it still looked reasonably good. I was surprised. He wore it on the way home, on the plane and his seat mate hit his drop down trey, which had a full glass of tomato juice. Needless to say, he was a mess and we had barely become our long flight home. 15 hours later and crusted tomato juice on his vest, I thought for sure this wasn't going to come out well. I sprayed it with a spot remover, and washed it on cold water, then hung to dry. I was pleasantly surprised that not only did the tomato juice some out, but it washed well and looked great after drying. He tried it on and it did not shrink. It will be his go-to travel vest, because he loved using it. I loved it too, because I wasn't the carry all person and could drop down my purse size and not have sore shoulders. Perfect travel vest.
